If you are a licence holder (additional, selective, or mandatory) you are required to complete five hours of CPD each year. All of the events that we put on throughout the year will contribute to your CPD.
In order to meet the CPD requirements, the person attending the event must be the licence holder, although other partners may wish to attend as well.
If the licence holder is an organisation, the attendee must be the most appropriate person.
We understand that many landlords don’t live in Newcastle, these dates and times won’t meet everyone’s work life balance, and events may book up quickly. If you are unable to attend these events, there are a number of alternative options that you can consider to fulfil your CPD requirements.
- If you are a member of the NRLA, they host regular local landlord forums across the county, contact your local NRLA rep for details. The NRLA also run several landlord training events including e-classrooms and e-learning options.
- In addition, many areas have independent landlord forums run by Local Authorities or Local Landlord groups. These events provide excellent opportunities to keep up to date with legislation, share best practise and network.
- For those of you not living in Newcastle, other Private Rented teams from different councils may also run landlord events that you can attended to fulfil your CPD requirements. Check with your local council to see if they have any events scheduled.
