Assessment Process

Once we receive your completed application form it will be assigned to one of our team to carry out an assessment.  As part of the process we will:

  • Arrange to visit each property that you would like to be considered for the Accreditation Scheme;
  • Check the physical condition of the property;
  • Consider how well the property is managed;
  • Inspect relevant safety certificates; and
  • Ask to see a copy of your Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate
  • Let you know if you need to do any work to meet the accreditation standards.

When we are sure all the information is correct and your property meets the Newcastle Housing Accreditation Scheme standards we will send you a certificate and letter confirming your accreditation.
